Site of former Freemen's Arms / William IV
Appears in directories and was shown on the 1855 OS map as the Freemen's Arms, but was previously known as the William IV, and can be found under that name in earlier directories. In 1891 it was recorded as having closed in the previous 20 years, and we have found no references beyond 1858.
