This a park boundary or pale. It is a large ditch and bank aligned east-north-east. It runs for over 570m at which point it is replaced by a stone wall. The ditch and bank also turns northwards at its western end. This shows that the enclosed area is to the north of this feature and that the ditch is on the inside. This appears to be the perimeter of a deer park of uncertain date. It lies outside the known limits of Hulne Park in 1624. ...
