The Urban Council are proceeding with the work of forming a connecting link from Prudhoe Street across Mr. Newbigin garden towards the railway station, which short cut is being already used foot passengers, and in & few weeks' time it will be ready for vehicular traffic. Part of the extension of this thoroughfare from Lisburn Street Clayport is already made, and has opened out some good building site where two semi-detached villas just been commenced from the designs of Mr. M. Temple Wilson, architect, Alnwick. The last connecting link from Lisburn Street to Clavport will be shortly undertaken by the Castle authorities, when the complete thoroughfare from Clayport Bank to the railway station will be thrown open".
