--------PLANS APPROVED,
Plans were approved for a new shop front and other alterations to the house known as the Cross Keys Inn ; for new workshops and boiler house at the premises of Mr John Drysale, carriage manufacturer; and for alterations to premises belonging to Mr Thos. Walby, Clayport Street. An application for leave to divert a water pipe in the Workhouse ground, to prevent its being built over, was granted. A complaint as to a nuisance at & property in Clive Terrace was referred to the Street Committee and Surveyor.

The vital part of an electric lamp is the filament. No matter how carefully the lamp is made in all other respects everything depends on the filament - the light - the economy, the durability and the life.
