Mr George Smart applisd for leave to put a front door in at the Crown Inn public house. This was agreed to, provided the door did not come on to the street. A plan sent in by Mr 'T. Lamb for new shop win- dow to be put in at the White Hart Inn, was approved on the same condition. Mr Thomas Robertson sent in 9 plan of a new house which he intends to erect below Windy Edge, and applied for the water supply. The Suaveyor reported concerning this house that it was contemplated to carry the sewage to a cesspit: to be built at the north-west corner of the ground; about 60 yards from the building. The ashpit is to ba built with brick, and cement hermetically ceiled on the top, aud covered over with two feet of soil. ‘The plan in question was approved, and the appli- cation granted, on the motion of Mr F, R. Witsoy, seconded by Mr J. YEAMAN.
