Alnwick Playhouse

Description

As well as being a landmark building, the Playhouse represents an important part of Alnwick's modern social and community life. Built in 1925 as a cinema and occasional music hall, it fell into disuse in 1979 but was brought back into use as a theatre and cinema in 1990. Following the completion of major works in 2019, the building now incorporates a theatre, library, tourist information centre and cafe.
